Mt Arthur Coal is committed to protecting the health and ensuring the safety of all its employees, contractors and visitors. We have developed a systematic program of health and safety improvement centred on the Mt Arthur Mine Safety Management Plan (MSMP). This plan incorporates the stringent health and safety requirements of BHP Billiton’s 15 Health, Safety, Environment and Community (HSEC) Management Standards (148kb). It also meets the requirements of the Coal Mines Regulation Act 1982.

We recognise the need for continuous improvement in our MSMP policies and procedures and they are under constant review.
